You are invited to participate in the 21st Maccabiah Open International Chess Competition, which will be held at the Ramada Hotel Wolfson 6 Bd, Jerusalem Between July 13 -July 22.

Tournament details:

9 Round Swiss System.The tournament is FIDE homologated.

Time Control:  1h30+30 sec increment per move.

All Israeli Players should have an Israeli Chess Federation License 2022 or should pay 90 NIS Rating fees.

Pairings and Opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday 13/7 at 14:30 PM.

Attention: The Official opening ceremony of the Maccabiah will take place on Thursday 14/7

The Closure ceremony will take place on Friday 22/7 at 14:30. Attendance is mandatory.

 

On Saturday night, 16/7 at 20:00 PM, A blitz tournament will be held. Details at the playing hall.

 

Prizes:

Winners will get special medals and prizes in accordance to the Maccabiah tradition.

Tie Breaks: Points, Bucholz, Bucholz cut1, 2 blitz games.

 

Who Can Participate:

Players with International FIDE chess rating. Few players without FIDE rating will be give permission to participate.

FIDE Rating between 2400-2300: 100 NIS

FIDE Rating between 2300-2201: 150 NIS.

FIDE  Rating between 2200-2001: 200 NIS.

FIDE Rating below 2000: 250 NIS.

Payment after 15.5.22 supplement of 50 NIS.

 

GM, IM and players with rating over 2400 :Free of participation fees.

Accommodations:

Israeli Players should take care of accommodations by themselves through booking website for example. Foreign players should take care of their accommodations through their National  Maccabiah headquarters.

Training, Polo Dri-fit T-Shirt, Tailored Short, 2 T-Shirts, Sockers, and Sport Bag: 400 NIS . Cost 480 NIS (80 NIS are subventioned by Maccabiah), Limited edition, First come first served basis.
